Marjorie Stoker became President of the Castleford Choral Society in 2000, having been the Society's Conductor for 10 years from 1982. It was with deepest regret that Marjorie passed away peacefully at the end of December 2014. The choral society sang Abba's "Thank you for the Music" at her funeral. She will be greatly missed.

The committee has decided that the society should not have a president at this time.
